THANKFUL IN BROKENNESS
What if I would press my wounds into the wounds of Christ? Could my brokenness be made into a healing abundance for the brokenness of those around me? A kind of communion. Wouldn’t that be good brokenness breaking bad brokenness? When our own brokenness meets the brokenness of the world around us and near to us, don’t we enter into and taste the brokenness and giving of Jesus Christ? I wonder if it’s in shattered places with broken people, we are most near the broken heart of Christ?

In 1 Kings 17, Elijah was in the perfect will of God, doing what God had explicitly told him to do, when suddenly, all his resources disappeared. The brook dried up and the ravens no longer brought him his daily food. What do you do when “your brook dries up”?

Have you ever been crippled by fear? Have you ever been shut down or intimidated by fear? Fear is an old enemy and God has a way of defeating that enemy. We live in a world inundated by fear.
