We had quite the busy spring! So many of our friends found their forever homes it was hard to keep up!

Thank you to our amazing adopters who continue to open their hearts to our wonderful rescued animals. Because of you, our horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, alpacas, and more get their second chance at life.

We are sad to announce the passing of Katie, our resident Barn Buddy llama 💔🦙

Katie came to Longmeadow from Southeast Llama Rescue in 2011. During her time with the previous rescue group, Katie had been fostered by a local family. Through them, she was part of a 4-H project where she learned how to walk on a lead, carry a pack, and pick up her hooves. This experience helped make her a perfect candidate to join the Barn Buddies as an animal ambassador, and she greeted hundreds of visitors to the Ranch in her 15 years in our care.

Katie was a friend to many fellow Barn Buddies and particularly enjoyed the company of her camelid companions Teagan and Delores. She made countless TV appearances in her time with us and was an exceptional ambassador for Longmeadow’s mission. Our team will miss her dearly 💗
