It’s been a while since I entered a quilt in our Boone County Fair because I hand sew, thus my projects take forever. This “1847 Baltimore Bride’s Quilt” was a ‘Block of the Month’ project…which turned into a ‘Block of the year’ project for me. Nevertheless it was dropped off at the fair yesterday — we’ll see how it does.
For those that quilt: It is hand-appliqué in wool onto to black flannel. I did machine sew the backing blocks and the binding for sturdiness purposes.
Ps—my snarky daughter Laura Mei Skulan asked if 1847 was the year I started it — Ha ha!
