nourish the gut, the earth in you. it is our center. what nourishes, metabolizes and ripens things within us. top three things i always recommend:
1) warm water to start the day. before even brushing your teeth. 8-16 oz and warmer than room temp if you can manage. water is what we’re made of. so drinking warm water is like coming home to yourself
2) warm, soupy, made-with-water foods, in the morning especially. don’t start your day with something cold like cereal or yogurt. this will help stoke digestive fire and support healthy metabolism.
3) chew your food. we have up to 32 teeth, so they say 32 bites for each morsel of food is the way. the stomach wasn’t meant to break down chunks of food. the teeth were. use them!
