The Born Educators Academy
As a grandmother of eight granddaughters, it makes me angry that abuse is increasingly normalized. They have to deal with racism, sexism and dehumanizing stereotypes.
Black girls around the world are carrying a heavy burden. Racism and misogyny online are exposing them to bullying, harmful stereotypes, harassment, and attacks on their self-worth during some of the most formative years of their lives.
We all have a role to play. Parents, educators, community leaders, and platforms must create safer digital spaces, teach media literacy, encourage healthy self-esteem, and ensure Black girls know they are valued, seen, and worthy of protection.
When we protect Black girls, we strengthen families, communities, and future generations. 💜
