Just another Saturday melting! Taking it one can at a time. A couple splatters, but they look good!

Today I made a first attempt to create using casting sand. Being that I am unfamiliar with this version of pouring, the product did not come out as I had hoped. However, during the process I learned about many things that I can improve.

For those who don't know, casting sand is a fine, powdery sand used to make a temporary mold for casting metal.

Just did my first ever community casting, it was so great to share my love of aluminum casting with others!
