Congrats 🎉 Ms.Sneed!! We love hearing all about the recipients! That award looks good on you. You are an asset to Smith County and the children of Smith County!! God bless you.

Toscha Sneed broke into tears of joy when Smith County Juvenile Services Director Ross Worley surprised her with a promotion as she was being honored during Commissioners Court Tuesday for 25 years of service.
“She has been a tremendous blessing to our department,” Worley said. “She has a passion for working with these kids.”
He promoted her to field unit probation supervisor.
Ms. Sneed, who grew up in Mineola, began working for Juvenile Services two weeks before Worley did, 25 years ago, starting as a detention officer right after she graduated from college at the age of 22. She is currently working to earn her master’s degree in criminal justice from Wiley University.
Throughout her career, she has served in multiple roles, including detention officer, juvenile probation officer, and training officer. Within probation, she has also held specialized positions such as intake officer, multiple offender officer, and Intensive Supervision Probation (ISP) officer, gaining extensive experience working with youth and families across various levels of supervision.
Ms. Sneed is passionate about helping at-risk youth make positive life changes. Her work focuses on building strong relationships and supporting long-term success for juveniles in the justice system, she said.
“What I like most about my career in juvenile services is the ability to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth,” Ms. Sneed said. “I enjoy helping guide young people who may be on the wrong path and giving them the support, structure and accountability they need to succeed.”
Ms. Sneed recently started the Leadership Academy in the Juvenile Services Department.
“I also value the relationships built with juveniles and their families. Watching them grow, making better decisions, and turning their lives around is one of the most rewarding parts of the job” she said. “One of the best feelings is when a youth we have served becomes an adult, sees me later in life, and thanks me (us) for the role we played in helping them get on the right path.”
