With freezing temperatures headed our way, now is the time to protect your plumbing and septic system from costly damage.

🚰 Protect Your Pipes & Water Lines
• Insulate exposed pipes (garages, crawl spaces, exterior walls)
• Disconnect and drain outdoor hoses
• Cover outdoor faucets
• Let indoor faucets drip during hard freezes
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air in
• Keep your thermostat set to 55°F or higher, even if you’re away

🛢️ Septic System Freeze Tips
• Avoid driving or parking over the tank or drain field
• Keep soil over the septic system covered (grass or mulch helps insulate)
• Continue normal water use to help prevent freezing
• Repair leaky faucets to avoid ice buildup
• Make sure septic lids are secure and properly covered

Today we had a great group of guys from Hunter/FX and Horizon Distributors! With both of us having a background in the landscape industry, it was great being on a trip with a group that definitely “speaks our language!!”

We ended up with a few hybrid and a nice pile of sandbass that rendered 7 gallons of filets!
