PSA: Yes late pregnancy pictures can be this good but please don’t wait until 38 weeks to schedule your first 4D ultrasound unless you enjoy living dangerously. This was one of my monthly subscription mamas coming in for her last visit with me and we were lucky enough to catch him on a good day. Babies don’t usually cooperate that late and my anxiety can’t handle it 😂

POV: mom life and business owner duty collide

I don’t typically bring my boys to appointments but every now and then a mama needs me on a day they’re home with me so they get to tag along. Thankfully my tiny receptionist was more than happy to cover the phones while I helped her out.

His customer service skills could use some work but he accepts payment in french fries so I think I’ll keep him around. 🩵

The chances of my little studio taking home the win are pretty slim when I’m sharing a category with some incredible (and much larger!) OB offices. But just being nominated at all after only 2 years in business is truly such an honor and the BEST, most indescribable feeling. Receiving this email was one of the coolest moments I’ve experienced as a small business owner.

✨ Did You Know? ✨

At 18 weeks your baby’s fingerprints are beginning to develop! Crazy to think that something that will belong only to your little one for the rest of their life is already being created.

And if you’re wondering what baby looks like around 18 weeks this ultrasound picture shows a sweet glimpse of this stage of development. This cutie was pretty proud of those new fingerprints and wanted to show them off!

THIS! This is exactly why I never stop talking about the importance of hydration!

Just look at that crystal clear perfect little face 🤩

While baby’s position, gestational age, and placenta placement all play a role in image quality, one of the only things you can *actually* control is staying consistently hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment.

(Notice I said days - not chugging three bottles of water in the car on the way to your appointment 😉 )

Consistent daily hydration = building up extra amniotic fluid which can make a HUGE difference and often helps create those beautifully clear and detailed images we all love and hope to achieve.
