our design for this home on lake bellwood dialogues with nature in both presence and materials. through a contextual approach, this house roots itself organically in the sloping site. the landscape is sculpted along this slope with retaining walls, stairs and planters to create a thoughtful entrance to the house, whether by car or by foot. guests descend the stairs carved into the slope to arrive at a zen garden entry into the home.

upon entering, guests will be delighted with a view of the lake with floor to ceiling windows in the open kitchen, dining and double-height living spaces.
