Two opportunities to help our TREP families:

(1) The Helen Gajdys Reis and Lester Reis Endowment Fund is offering a matching donation challenge of up to $5,000.00 for Two Rivers Ecumenical Pantry! To qualify, funds MUST be sent to the Reis Endowment Fund at P.O. Box 388, Two Rivers, WI 54241. Please designate your donation to TREP.

(2) TREP volunteers will be ringing bells for Salvation Army on December 2nd at Piggly Wiggly in Two Rivers. The Salvation Army is holding a competition for non-profits and is sharing half of what is received in our kettle on that day.

In-person food and monetary donations can be brought to the pantry on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.

We appreciate your support. Donations of any type are greatly appreciated by those who need a little extra.

TREP will be having a Brat Fry Fundraiser this Saturday July 10th from 10:00 AM till 2:00 PM at Two Rivers Piggly Wiggly.

TREP shall have a paid, part-time Treasurer that oversees the financial accounts of the Pantry.

Applicants must be bonded and submit to a background check. Interested parties should email [Email hidden] for more information and to submit a resume.

Duties of the Treasurer:
1. Attend all board meetings

2. Receive all monetary donations and other incoming funds from Coordinator, prepare deposits, and deposit in appropriate account(s)

3. Sign checks

4. Prepare bi-weekly payroll

5. Forward documentation of deposits, incoming bills, etc. to Bookkeeper for entry into accounting system

6. Create and present the annual budget to the Board for approval

7. Supervise contractors hired by the board such as bookkeeper, tax preparer, investment professionals

8. Manage the board’s review and action related to the board’s financial responsibilities

9. Work with the Coordinator and Bookkeeper to ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the board at meetings

10. Review the annual audit and Form 990 and answer board members’ questions

11. Assist with cash flow projections to ensure TREP maintains liquidity and solvency. Immediately inform the Board if funds significantly drop.

12. Ensure timely filing of all required federal and state tax filings

13. Safeguard and protect the nonprofit’s assets

14. Ensure sufficient funds are available to cover operational and capital investment needs.
