– TAKE BACK THE RIVERS –
Two Rivers is our home and this next cleanup event will help reclaim our rivers. The last river cleanup in 2025 resulted in 10 tires being pulled from the Twin Rivers. We hope to repeat that success again in 2026.
Join the City-Wide Shore & River Clean-Up on Saturday, June 6th starting at 10 am and show your pride for this special place. Whether you care deeply about our fresh water resources and local wildlife or simply want a cleaner community for the next generation, this is your chance to make a real difference.
📍 Meet at:
• Veteran’s Park
• Washington Park
• Paddler’s Park
🧤 Equipment provided at each location:
Gloves, bags, and grabbers.
🎉 After the clean-up, volunteers are invited to Washington Park for food, beverages, games, and community fun!
This is more than a cleanup. It’s a statement that our community cares.
If you love Two Rivers… Let’s TAKE BACK THE RIVERS. 💙

--Open Book Begins June 1 for Select Properties Receiving Assessment Change Notices--
The City of Two Rivers reminds residents that Open Book will take place on Monday, June 1 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM for the limited number of property owners who recently received a 2026 Notice of Changed Assessment.
These notices were mailed only to properties where the assessed value changed due to factors such as remodeling, new construction, demolition, updated property data, or other qualifying assessment adjustments. Approximately 150 properties within the city received notices this year.
If you received a notice and have questions about your assessment, Open Book is your opportunity to speak directly with the City’s assessor, Accurate Appraisal, before the formal Board of Review process. In many cases, questions or concerns can be resolved directly with the assessor without needing to file a formal appeal.
Residents who did not receive a notice generally did not experience a change to their property assessment this year.
If a property owner wishes to formally appeal an assessment following Open Book, Wisconsin law requires that notice of intent to appeal be provided to the Board of Review Clerk at least 48 hours before the Board of Review begins.
Additional information about the appeal process can be found through the Wisconsin Department of Revenue’s “Guide for Property Owners” or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office.
