We want to be our best for YOU—our community of dreamers, doers, and adventurers.

This means fine-tuning how we operate as a nonprofit, creating new opportunities to connect, and bringing you even closer to the world of possibility that comes with studying abroad.

We’re here to guide, inspire, and sometimes give you that little push to step out of your comfort zone—because we know you’re capable of more than you think.

Study Elsewhere has partnered with the U.S ExchangeAlumni Ambassador Program and Tuskegee University to develop virtual programming centered on study abroad scholarships and opportunities. This event is catered towards students and recent grads attending Historically Black Colleges & Universities.

Our founder, Tyler Janeé Ward, received $3,000 from the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program to study abroad in Costa Rica while attending Clark Atlanta University.

The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity.

✈️Teach Abroad for Recent Grads
The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program, an element of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, places recent college graduates and young professionals as English teaching assistants in primary and secondary schools or universities overseas.

✈️Learn a New Language and Boost your Resume
The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program provides overseas foreign language instruction and cultural enrichment experiences in 13 critical need languages for U.S. students in higher education.

✈️Discover Study Elsewhere programs
Study Elsewhere is a HBCU Alumni-Led international organization that specializes in semester/summer study abroad, alternative spring breaks, and meaningful travel for young professionals.

✈️Black Travel Resources
Black Travel Alliance is a professional non-profit organization [501(c)(3)], created in 2020 to encourage, educate, equip and excel black travel professionals in education, media, and corporate positions.
