Come join our Team! We are seeking a Parts Department Manager for our Turlock location. Parts managers are responsible for managing inventory based on demand and costs. They must be able to maintain stock that enables the service departments and customers alike to complete needed repairs but also avoid the costs of carrying excessive inventory. Requires strong customer service, excellent communication skills, and a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude!

Parts Department Manager
• The parts manager must have knowledge of the stock control system.
• The parts manager will place monthly stock orders and monthly surplus returns.
• The parts manager is in charge of all parts for the vendors the company promotes. If the job of maintaining the parts for the vendors falls on another person, then it is the job of the parts manager to oversee the work.
• The parts manager must be able to assess and prioritize daily events as needed.
• The parts manager is responsible for ordering parts, be they stock replacement parts or emergency repair parts.
• The parts manager is charged with purchasing parts using the best buys possible at the time, meaning they are aware of certain promotions from the manufacturers and take full advantage of the discounts allowed.
• The parts manager makes sure that customer invoices are billed correctly. It is their job to make sure that all open documents are addressed monthly.
• The parts manager will make sure that all invoices, where the parts have been received by the customer are closed prior to the billing cycle.

Team management
• The parts manager is responsible for the safety of their personnel and must be knowledgeable of the company policies outlined in the company handbook. They will adhere to and follow all company policy.
• The parts manager is responsible for recruiting employees and arranging training so they are knowledgeable about the product and have the customer service skills to provide customer satisfaction.
• Scheduling the parts counter personnel so that there are enough people available to take care of the customers’ needs.
• The parts manager must be aware of work and break times allowed as per the company policy. No overtime is allowed without prior authorization.
• Making sure their people come to work on time, dressed in a professional manner and ready to greet the customer.
• All persons of the parts department shall be involved in the annual inventory unless other arrangements have been made. This includes, but is not limited to periodic inventory checks made throughout the year.
• Overseeing the shipping and receiving department. Make sure parts are being received, distributed and put away in a timely fashion.
• The parts manager will evaluate his personnel annually and set goals for the department to achieve.
• The parts manager will review the employee goals keeping the department goals in mind.
• Pay raises are not tied to the annual evaluations. Evaluations are a tool to see if goals are being achieved or exceeded.
