As a fellow athlete who is supporting his cause through his sport, I think it's time we talk Colin Kaepernick. You're not wrong in wanting to make the country better, you're just going about it all wrong. I firmly believe you cannot enact a positive change by engaging in a negative act. The flag, and this country have always been about freedom, yes, there are bad people who go against the morals and values most of us believe in, but you don't disrespect everyone because of those bad apples. You have the name, and certainly the means to bring about change, just try to do it in a positive way. If you're going to be negative, then you're going to be part of the problem, not the solution.

For anyone who doesn't know, due to a recent family emergency, I will be postponing my Lake Tahoe swim to a date TBD. I will keep you all posted. Thank you for your understanding.
