Happy Confirmation Day to the 4 confirmands at my church today! These young people have spent the last few years taking classes at our church learning more about the Bible and their Lutheran faith. Today’s Rite of Confirmation is the confirmands’ opportunity to confirm and profess their faith in front of their congregation. Congratulations! I thought some of the sayings and verses behind me were very applicable to today.

”You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.“ Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬
“Always pray to have eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad, and a soul that never loses faith in God.”‬

A couple of weeks ago, my team hosted my annual fundraiser! This year it was “PAWS for Brunch”! Thank you so, so much to everyone who helped make this event possible, from Maria (a superfan who generously cooked everyone their own omelettes), to Traci and her countless kitchen crew preparing side dishes, to Rockie and all those who helped decorate, to Lisa and Debbie who ran the photo booth, and Ken and Amy who helped with different fundraising efforts! What was also special this year was the addition of some very special guests: Beth and Emma from 1in4stillbornstilloved/1in4stillbornstilloved, Nancy from Jessica's House/jessicas_house, and Barbara from afspcentralvalley. These individuals came and shared wonderful stories about how I’ve served at their events and locations. I’m so glad I’ve been able to partner with them, their colleagues, and families to share presence, comfort, mercy, and hope.
