McCarty Architects

We’re excited to welcome our summer interns to McCarty Architects, Hunter and Dawson, both students in Mississippi State University’s School of Architecture.

Our internship program is an opportunity to invest in the next generation of architects by giving them hands-on, real-world experience inside the profession. We’re looking forward to a great summer and the fresh perspectives they’ll bring to the team.

Originally from Mississippi, Timothy spent most of his life in Alabama before moving back to Mississippi in 2020. We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to the impact he will make on our team.

Outside of work, Timothy enjoys playing pickleball with his wife and is a huge movie buff who loves spending time at the theater.

🏆 COTE Award & Merit Award | Duff Center for Science and Technology Innovation

The 2025 AIA Mississippi Design Awards recognized this Ole Miss campus building with both its inaugural COTE Chapter Award and a Merit Award — a remarkable double honor. The jury praised the building's daylighting strategies, including north-facing light monitors and terracotta sunshades, along with efficient lab systems and energy recovery that reduce consumption. This project demonstrates how high-performance sustainability can enrich both function and experience at an impactful campus scale.
