Very on theme with our recent weather ❄️
Last month, our preschoolers painted on ice while exploring melting, solids, and liquids—and created beautiful ice prints along the way!

Bundled up and cozy, they watched the ice do the work as colors mixed and changed with each stroke of the brush. A perfect blend of science, art, and hands-on discovery! 🎨🧊

The first Art Explorers camp of 2025 was a blast! Looking forward to exploring with my second group of campers tomorrow.
Below is probably my favorite art project we’ve made to date at Art Explorers camp. As a group we chose coordinating cool colors ( we talked about warm and cool colors) to drop on the paper taped to the slide. They then took turns rolling green tomatoes and rocks down the slide as they watched the abstract design it made as it went through the paint.
We then made shadow art by placing items on top of the trampoline and tracing its casted shadow from underneath onto our paper! We combined these two processes into one piece of art that turned out so cool!!

I’m excited to announce the June dates for the 2025 Art Explorers camp! This year’s camp will look a little different as far as days/times so please make note of those.
Campers will rotate through different stations with even more focus this year on process art and art exploration. Because of this, children may not come away with all the same art work. The beauty of process art is the focus on the creative experience and exploration of materials and techniques, rather than a predetermined outcome or "finished product". We will, of course, still have our camp favorites ;gem mining & tie-dye!💎💐🌈

🌻Camp is held in my fenced and shaded backyard located in Joyner neighborhood.
🌻feel free to reach out via text @ 662-316-8389 with additional questions
🌻all materials provided with exception of a t-shirt for dying.
