So we got called out to do a reseal and paint on a really nice building just off of Cherry Street, but once we started we found that the previous contractor about five years ago decided to do some very shoddy repair work. They decided on a stucco building to just jam styrofoam into voids, and they didn’t flash or seal around the windows properly, nor did they properly do expansion joints, on top of the fact that the entire job was just done very poorly, so much of the wood framing around the windows is completely rotted . Sadly, the only fix for this is to remove every bit of stucco off the entire building, repair all of the rotten wood which includes removing the VERY large windows that are hanging on by a thread, completely seal everything up with the zip board system, liquid waterproofing on the entire surface, and then install a new EIFS system that will last forever.
