This email is to make you aware that the Cherokee Nation wants to buy NorthPointe and put a courthouse and jail at this location.
The initial concern is a jail could: (1) decrease our property values, (2) create possible security concerns of having a jail in close proximity to your home, two elementary and one middle schools,(3) increased presence of loitering and the home insecure or homeless populations (4)create issues with substance abuse.
NEXT ACTION: The City is holding an open forum at City Hall (175 E 2nd Street) on Tuesday May 24,2022 at 1:00 p.m
