--WEIRD CHRISTMAS FACTS--
I was in a conversation today where the topic turned to the OTHER Christmas myths. Santa Claus is far from the only famous Christmas mythic figure--fokelore from around the world is filled with other giftgivers, giant creatures, and monsters all interested in bringing the holiday spirit (in this case, "Holiday spirit" occasionally translates to "Horror more befitting Halloween"). The Krampus, the anti-Santa, is the most famous, but personally I love the bizarre story of Jolakotturinn, the Yule Cat from Iceland. Jolakotturinn is a giant Persian cat who prowls the countryside after dark, making sure everyone is wearing their new holiday clothes!
..the penalty for NOT being in fresh Christmas threads, obviously, is to be immediately eaten on the spot.

This guy inspires me every Christmas season. Lots of celebrities have played Santa in movies over the years, but to my knowledge only one has ever become a real working Santa. Warms my heart that even a tough guy like a professional wrestler feels the same joy putting on the Red Suit and hearing kids wishes and concerns every year as I do.
