ENACOMM gathered its team in Tulsa last Friday to celebrate the company's 2023 accomplishments (hello, Emerie!), friendships and the road ahead. The night was merry and bright, with the camaraderie, cocktails, and dinner enjoyed by all. Here are a few moments in time that give a peek at the fancy fun.

🎅According to McKinsey, “Very few [banks] have truly moved to a more flexible back end. That prioritization may now need to change.” But what can financial institutions do, if making a full move to a more flexible back-end is out of reach in the near-term?

In a new expert article for Finextra, ENACOMM CEO Michael Boukadakis suggests, “An alternative for many financial institutions with outdated cores is to take advantage of an open API digital gateway that unlocks the ability to access data and innovate by enabling the integration of payments, customer experience (CX), and other digital financial services platforms.”

In the piece, Mike explains that directly integrating with other systems is not a readily available option in financial services, due to compliance requirements, lack of relationships with core providers and the need for an abstraction layer (the programming interface between a new application and the legacy operating system)—but utilization of an open API digital gateway can overcome these challenges.
