A little history on E. Gromme:
E Gromme was established by Ebenezer Gromme and his brother in law, Jim Pierce, in 1898. They started their business by making handmade chairs in High Wycombe, England. They are famous for revolutionizing post-war home interiors with the G-plan brand and their Danish-inspired Mid-Century Modern craftsmanship popular during 1950s-1970s.
Their “Fresco” line became especially sought after for its clean lines, rich wood finishes, and practical storage designs. It was highly innovative because it allows consumers to high quality, modern, matching furniture piece-by-piece to fit their budgets, marketed directly to the public.
Today collectors and interior designers value these pieces for their timeless style and durability, making them highly desirable.
