This is one of the saddest posts I’ll have to write up.

I passed by Hopes kennel at the last adoption event. Her head was tucked and she hadn’t moved most of the day. I said her name several times and she never looked up. She has given up. She knows know one ever chooses to take her home.

Hope is one of our longest term boarding dogs. She was rescued last July from a cruelty case. . She was abandoned in a house stuck in a crate with another dog. They were skeleton pups, starved and covered in urine in f***s.

Hope was adopted briefly and returned. Unfortunately she does not like other pets.

Hope is a classic example of the problem of pet cruelty, neglect, and overpopulation. The public screams for us to save these dogs but once they come into rescue and are considered safe they remain stagnant. Finding single dog homes seems impossible these days.

A life in boarding is no life for a dog. People may argue - but it wears on them. Physically, emotionally, mentally.

We post our boarding dogs like Hope all the time and no one ever chooses her. She is not small, or fluffy, or cute. She is a sweet Pitbull with a big head, some scars from her past, and a lot of love to give a family somewhere looking for a single dog.

Hopes mental state is plummeting. She needs a home, and quickly.

Her adoption fee is waived. She is chipped spayed vaccinated and on simparica trio.
