Today is an incredibly special day on our campus as we celebrate a simultaneous one year anniversary!

One year ago today, one of our amazing residents took her first steps onto our campus to begin her journey of healing and restoration. On that same day, our amazing Empower Educator, Mrs. Kim, joined our team to guide, teach, and invest in the minds and hearts of our girls.

Happy 1-year anniversary to you both!

What do these names have in common?

Andrew Roos, Wilson Jones, Richard Lynn Upright, Dallen Benjamin Platt, and Carl Innmon...
They are all teachers arrested in 2026 for creating child sexual abuse material of their own students using hidden cameras and AI.

We don’t usually cover out-of-state stories, but this disturbing national trend is too important to ignore. In the past year, teachers and school staff in Iowa, Mississippi, North Carolina, Texas, and Utah have been arrested for secretly filming students or using AI to generate explicit images from innocent classroom photos.

Children were sitting in class, trusting their teachers, completely unaware they were being exploited.

This is why AI safety education is no longer optional. This is exactly why The Demand Project goes into schools and communities to teach prevention.
We have presentations to all age groups and sizes, as well as a parent workshop in the morning on July 22nd at our tulsa office. Come see us or schedule a presentation to get informed today!!

Protecting children, even in the classroom, must be a priority

These cases highlight how predators repeatedly target the most vulnerable children. They also show how important interstate law enforcement cooperation is, in this instance, Louisiana police played a key role in bringing an Oklahoma predator into custody.

These are charges only. Not convictions.

At The Demand Project, we educate communities through presentations and trainings, advocate for victims, run a residential program for trafficked minors, and offer nonresidential support for survivors of any age. We turn awareness into real protection and healing.
