Early mornings. Late afternoons. Dirty boots. Endless patience. Lots of laughter. And a whole lot of love for the animals in their care. This week is , and we're celebrating the hardworking people who care for the animals you know and love every single day. They build trust through daily husbandry and training, prepare specialized diets, create enriching experiences, monitor each animal's health and wellbeing, and inspire thousands of guests every year to connect, care and advocate for wildlife.

Thank you to our amazing keepers for your passion, expertise and the countless ways you make a difference for our animals, our guests and our mission.

Have a memorable experience with one of our keepers or a shoutout you'd like to share? Help us celebrate our keepers by showing them some love in the comments! 💚

Yesterday's "What Is It Wednesday" mystery has been solved! The answer? It's an imprint of Booper's head in one of the sand piles inside our elephant habitat! 💛

Our elephant care team creates sand piles throughout the habitat to give the herd comfortable places to rest. These mounds also act as a wedge, helping our elephants get back on their feet after lying down, which is especially beneficial for the geriatric members of our herd.

Imprints like this make our care team smile because they show the elephants are using the habitat features designed just for them. It's one more example of how thoughtful habitat features and individualized care help support our herd every day. 🐘
