With temps climbing, here are a few easy ways to stay cool and keep your AC from working overtime:

• Set your thermostat a little higher when you’re away, but don’t turn it off completely
• Close blinds/curtains during the day (especially when you leave)
• Blackout curtains = even better for blocking heat
• Make sure vents are open and not blocked by furniture
• Run ceiling fans (counterclockwise helps push cool air down)
• Avoid using oven/dryer during the hottest part of the day if possible
• Keep doors/windows closed so cool air stays in
