On this Fourth of July, as our nation celebrates 250 years of independence, we are reminded that the promise of America has always been that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and a place to call home. 🇺🇸

At Tulsa Day Center, that belief drives everything we do. Today we celebrate along with all Americans, and we recommit ourselves to the work of making sure that every single Tulsan has a safe place to rest their heads each night.

It's been our honor to play a part in Safe Move Tulsa, which is responsible for moving more than 300 people into housing through the coordinated efforts of the City of Tulsa and service providers like the Tulsa Day Center.

In the words of our CEO Mack Haltom, "The laser focus and collaboration between agencies has streamlined the process of moving people from the streets to shelter to long-term, affordable housing. For the individual person, this has resulted in fewer nights sleeping outside and immediate access to help addressing whatever barriers to housing they face. These successes add up to a stronger Tulsa for all of us, and the Day Center is proud to play a part.”

On August 8th, some of Tulsa's top chefs are taking over The Summit Club for A Taste of Change — a one-night collaborative tasting menu paired with premium wines and the stories behind every pour. One evening. One room. One shared table for a cause that matters.
