MidAmerica Rottweiler Rescue
đž Adopt Rush! đ¤
đ Rush is currently being fostered in Indiana, but MidAmerica Rottweiler Rescue (MARR) can arrange transport for approved adopters within our coverage area: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.
Rush is a 2-year-old deaf (with some partial hearing) boy whoâs ready to find the forever family he deserves. Despite having several homes early in life, heâs proven to be an affectionate, resilient, and incredibly loving companion.
⨠Rushâs highlights:
* đś Dog-friendly and loves having canine friends
* â¤ď¸ Sweet, playful, and affectionate
* đĄ House-trained with great indoor manners
* đ Rides well in the car and does great in public
* đ¤ Knows hand signals for sit, stay, come, down, heel, and more
* 𦴠Loves tug-of-war, toys, and playtime
Rush has some ongoing discomfort in his front left leg, so heâd prefer playtime over long walks. Heâs also successfully overcome past anxiety and is now thriving without medication.
His ideal home includes another friendly dog, a consistent routine, and a family willing to continue communicating with him using visual cues. In return, youâll get a loyal, smart, and endlessly loving best friend.
đ MARR covers Illinois, Indiana, lowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
đ Transportation is available for adoptions within our coverage area.

Pet loss is something we donât talk about nearly enough, and honestly, itâs something most of us never want to think about.
As pet owners, itâs the one thing we hope weâll never have to face, even though we know our time with them is never long enough. Knowing it will happen someday doesnât make saying goodbye any easier.
Recently, one of our MARR team members had to say goodbye to her beloved Rottweiler. Through her grief, she found comfort in a few resources and wanted to share them in hopes they might help someone else walking this same difficult path. â¤ď¸
Grief over a pet is real. They arenât âjust dogsâtheyâre family. They greet us at the door, make us laugh on our hardest days, comfort us when we need them most, and love us without conditions. Losing them leaves a hole thatâs impossible to explain unless youâve experienced it yourself.
Whether your best friend crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday or years ago, itâs okay if you still miss them, you always will. Itâs okay to cry, tell stories about them, smile at old photos, and grieve in your own way. There is no timeline for healing, and there is no ârightâ way to grieve. Love like theirs leaves a mark on our hearts forever.
If youâre struggling, please know you donât have to carry that grief alone. If youâre grieving the loss of a beloved pet, here are a few resources that may offer comfort, support, and someone to talk to when you need it most.
