When doing Bodywork remember this!!

03/22/2024

You know what I have bee wondering? Ok, let me start here. I have so many clients with kidney stones. And as we know kidney stones are really painful. Why do these people have this reoccurring issue?
In studying I can read something that perked my ears up.
Let me start by saying this… there is something called yourHPA axis. This is hypothalamus, pituitary, adrenal axis. Hypo is taking in information, sends this info to pituitary (and does much more), pituitary orchestrates all our hormones, lots of hormones, adrenals put out their hormones. I think thyroid is down stream, responding to all the above.
Back to kidney stones. One of the hormones that the thyroid does regulates calcium in the blood. What if that is disregulated and there is too much or wrong amounts in the blood stream?
60% of your blood goes through your kidneys every minute. So if there is too much , or too little, does this mean that stones develop????
Just thinking!! Namaste
