"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins...'and they will call him Immanuel' (which means 'God with us')". - Matt. 1:21,23
As we reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, let's remember that Jesus came to be "God with us" and to do an incredible work. He came to save us completely from our sins—not only from the penalty of sin through His substitutionary death on the cross, but also from the effects of sinful living by giving us an example he expects us to follow and empowers us to follow. This salvation is a complete package! When Jesus saves us, He saves us from both the penalty of sin and the fruit of sinful living.

Our fall gathering on Saturday turned out well. While our group was a little smaller than previous years and we could not have a fire due to the burn ban, we still had a great time with many of our international students! Thank you Travis & Julie Dean for opening your home up.
