The Metropolitan Tulsa Transit Authority Board unanimously approved a motion to allow General Manager Scott Marr to begin negotiations with realtors to sell the decades-old transit hub and find locations to build a new one.
Tulsa transit authority approves first step to sell downtown bus station The move has been in the works for years. Tulsa’s 2018 Arena District Master Plan included the goal of either moving or revamping the downtown station.

A fond farewell with much appreciation to the great Ben Abrams, the KWGS News Senior Reporter and “All Things Considered” Host whose last day here at Public Radio Tulsa is today (6/12). Ben has been doing outstanding journalistic work at our station for the past three years or so; he’s leaving us in order to take a job with WHYY in Philadelphia. (He’s actually from Philly.)
