Over 30 bros game #2, The Johan Cruyff PK

The Soundpony Over 30 squad welcomed the newly formed “PGR Soccer Team” with a 5-0 thrashing. PGR, sponsored by Coke, had trouble making kickoff but the bros, eager to play, politely waited till they got 11. We have a lot of new faces this season and this was the perfect game to adjust, thank you PRG.

1st half
Cut-off Jean-Shorts Dave (Tony Ds Replacement) earned his first goal for the club. Cheers Brother, glad to see in the books. The man was on fire following the goal, yelling from the sideline “I would have scored that!” after every missed shot.

2nd half
After a sedated 1st half bros bring the pressure. O’Neil gives an over the top ball to Griffen who carefully brings it down, dribbles around the keep and after dribbling the ball from post to post taps the ball in for goal #2.
Our 3rd goal comes from S**C Legend Phil Leon. This makes his tally for the club somewhere between 30-60 goals. I am sure he will play coy if you ask him how many goals he has scored for us, but we all know he records them in his journal at home. For some reason Phil’s goal deeply offended Coca Cola’s #9 (Blue Shorts) who came out swinging each time Phil got the ball. Thankfully Phil survived and shed only a few tears.
Zach Shamel, another name we are glad to have back with the squad, earned his second goal in two games this season. The day before he caught the biggest fish in Oklahoma. PGR didn’t stand a chance.

We earned our final goal with a PK. Derek was needlessly thrown down in the box after a botched corner, catching the assistant’s eye. While setting up, Derek and O’neil secretly plot a Johan Cruyff style PK.
A Johan Cruyff PK (look it up) involves the PK taker knocking the ball left to a fellow player instead of simply shooting. The second player takes the attention of the keeper leaving the initial PK taker wide open for a pass to put it into the net. Really look it up, its amazing.

RPG COKE was devastated following the 5th goal, but luckily it was over. The final whistle blows and bros easily win 5-0. Rain-Bros attempted handshakes but PRG wouldn’t have it, I don’t blame them. Till we meet again, next time the Coke is on me.

Soundpony Flicks Murder Moose Hands 4-1! Way to start the season out bros. Glad to have you back

Soundpony Women's Reserve also earn a victory against BA KICKS 2-0. The newly promoted squad proves that they are here to stay. Cheers Ladies, you always make me proud.

Soundpony Womens (tradish) fought hard but was not able to earn 3pts. The defending champs played their hearts out and the result was simply unlucky. No worries, they'll get it back. I feel sorry for the next team they have to play.

Over 30 Bros: Bobby got a red card, ha. It was Chance's bday weekend. Zach and Phil return and both find the back of the net. Zach's goal was a lot cooler than Phil's. Barrett was a fantastic keep. Oniel just got back from ikea. Rice had a fantastic game. Chance learned what "man on" means, Stack hit the ball with his head once, Chan debuted, Harry's p***s hurt, I think nick's also hurt, Dave is too nice and D Crane is fed up with bros being too nice. I agree, we are far too nice. I kicked someone, really hard. It was an accident and not a foul.

Unfortunately, due to the snow, all games this Sunday have been postponed. I blame NEOASA (the league we play in) but I blame them for everything. Cheers stay warm, get drunk and be safe.
