Most people hit Publish...
..and walk away.

That's when the real work begins.

The first few hours after you post can make a big difference.

Instead of disappearing:

➡️ Reply to every genuine comment.
➡️ Join conversations in your niche.
➡️ Keep the discussion going by answering questions or adding context.

LinkedIn rewards meaningful engagement—not just broadcasting.

Publishing isn't the finish line.

It's the starting point.

Not all engagement is created equal on LinkedIn.

A like is nice.

But it isn't the strongest signal your content can send.

Here's what generally matters most:
➡️ 👍 Reactions show quick appreciation.
➡️ 💬 Comments signal conversation and relevance.
➡️ 🔄 Reposts introduce your content to new audiences.
➡️ 📩 Shares in DMs suggest your content is valuable enough to recommend privately.
➡️ 🔖 Saves tell LinkedIn people want to come back to your post later.

The more effort an action requires, the stronger the signal it typically sends.

That's why a post with fewer likes but plenty of thoughtful comments and saves can outperform a post with hundreds of reactions.

Instead of asking:
"How many people liked this?"

Ask:
"Did anyone save it?"
"Did it start a conversation?"
"Was it worth sharing?"

Create content that's useful enough to revisit, insightful enough to discuss, and valuable enough to share.

That's the kind of engagement that compounds over time.

The shift came when I stopped asking "What should I post?" and started asking "How does my buyer actually decide?"

That question changed everything.

I learned that every person has a buying style. Some need data and proof before they'll commit. Others need to feel the transformation. Some want speed and results. Others need to see the full roadmap before they'll take a single step.

When I started studying buyer behavior through personality science, I realized I'd been speaking my own language on LinkedIn for years. Not my client's.

So I adjusted.

Same expertise. Same experience. Same offer.

Different language.

I rewrote my profile to speak to how my ideal client is wired to decide. I restructured my content to address what they care about, not what I care about.

The people I actually wanted to work with started showing up. In my DMs. In my comments. On discovery calls.

Not because I posted more. Because I finally spoke their language.
