I had a closing this week for a single mom who lived in Kansas and was looking for a safe place to raise her 6 year daughter. She had already found a lender and got prequalified and had been working on her credit and doing everything the right way.
She wanted small town as she was doing USDA loan and spent so much time driving to areas to check out. Her lender did not make it easy for her in the beginning and she went through multiple loan officers as they did not seem to want to help or claimed they did not know about USDA loans. Not sure how they had that job but that's another day. This lender has a "team" of people for buyers so I called the "coordinator" and told her they were doing her an injustice this is her first time home purchase and it should not be this hard due to the lack on their part. She got her a new loan officer who was knowledgeable in USDA and we finally got her to the closing table. I am so excited for her and their new beginnings. Just a reminder sometimes of why I love doing this and how important the right lender is. It is a partnership
