Woodworking was passed through the generations in the Bonjour family, starting with Ean’s great-grandfather, who was a cabinet maker in Switzerland

Adding in fret markers is up next. I chose brass markers to coordinate with the color scheme. Instead of using a standard drill bit, I used a hole saw, removing a ring of material for the brass and leaving the wood center. Then I inserted the brass tube and filed it flush with the fretboard. I couldn’t use this method on the side dots due to their size so I removed the wood with a standard drill bit, inserted the brass, and filled the marker with cherry.
