🎬✨ Creativity, connection, and a little movie magic! ✨🎨

Our clients recently enjoyed a fun morning at the Central Library’s Aaronson Auditorium for Craft & a Movie! While watching a family-friendly film, they also had the opportunity to create colorful crafts, express their creativity, and simply enjoy time together.

Experiences like these may seem simple, but they play an important role in the healing journey. They provide opportunities to relax, build relationships, spark creativity, and create positive memories along the way.

A huge thank you to the Tulsa City-County Library for providing engaging activities that help our clients experience moments of joy, normalcy, and community. ❤️

Meeting needs. Restoring hope. Walking beside you as you rise. đź’™

🚀 Blast Off with Discovery Lab! 🌟

Curiosity was in full launch mode this week at the Tulsa County Transitional Living Center as our friends from Discovery Lab stopped by for another hands-on STEM adventure!

Families put their creativity to work designing and building their own paper rockets before putting them to the test with a rocket stomp launcher. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and cheers as rockets soared across the room and everyone experimented with what made them fly higher and farther.

Activities like these do so much more than entertain. They encourage creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and confidence while giving parents and children the opportunity to learn and make memories together.

A huge thank you to Discovery Lab for continuing to invest in the families we serve. Experiences like these remind our clients that learning can be exciting, engaging, and full of possibility. ❤️

Meeting needs. Restoring hope. Walking beside you as you rise.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Tulsa County Social Services! ❤️🤍💙

Today, our Transitional Living Center families came together to celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial—250 years of our nation’s journey—with good food, laughter, and time spent together.

Our celebration included grilled hot dogs on our trusty Hasty Bake, wings, corn on the cob, potato salad, bubbles, frisbee golf, coloring, and plenty of shade under the tents as neighbors enjoyed a fun afternoon outdoors.

Moments like these remind us that healing isn’t only found in housing plans, job searches, or case management meetings. It’s also found in shared meals, children’s laughter, meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to simply enjoy being together.

From all of us at Tulsa County Social Services, we wish you a safe, joyful, and happy Fourth of July as we celebrate 250 years of our nation’s history.

❤️ Meeting needs. Restoring hope. Walking beside you as you rise.

Every organization has a history. Ours is one of growth. ❤️

Long before Tulsa County Social Services existed as we know it today, Tulsa County cared for neighbors in need through the Tulsa County Poor Farm. During that era, housing, meals, and basic care were provided to those who had nowhere else to turn.

While much has changed over the decades, one thing has remained the same:

Tulsa County has never stopped caring for its people.

Today, that mission continues through Tulsa County Social Services—not as a poor farm, but through compassionate, professional services that help individuals and families move toward stability and independence.

We provide:
🏠 Transitional housing
đź’Š Affordable prescription medications
🤝 Connections to community resources
❤️ Cremation assistance for those with no other means
…and so much more.

Our mission has evolved from simply meeting immediate needs to helping people build a path forward.

Meeting needs. Restoring hope. Walking beside you as you rise.

We’re proud to carry that legacy forward while continually adapting to better serve our community.

History reminds us where we’ve been.

Compassion reminds us why we’re here.

And hope reminds us where we’re going.
