SOAR Partners

Last week was a significant one for the Gatesway Foundation and SOAR Partners teams. It was a privilege to host Mayor Monroe Nichols and his staff at Gatesway to discuss the critical work being done in our community.

We had the opportunity to share the innovative and deeply needed work underway to address homelessness among individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across Tulsa and surrounding communities. This population is often overlooked in traditional housing and support systems, yet requires thoughtful, tailored solutions that integrate housing, services, and community.

What stood out most was the shared commitment to collaboration—bringing together public leadership, nonprofit innovation, and community partners to create sustainable pathways to stability and belonging.

Grateful for Mayor Nichols’ leadership and the City’s engagement on this issue. We’re excited about what’s ahead and the continued momentum to ensure every individual has access to safe, supportive housing.

Gatesway Foundation, Inc. continues to set the standard for what it means to empower adults with I/DD to live, work, and thrive. SOAR Partners is grateful to walk alongside them as they expand independence and opportunity for nearly 150 incredible individuals.
