Blue Compass went back To Miracle Ranch in 2021. A heartfelt shout out to all the Crista Camps staff for making this summer so special for our campers. Having 2 former campers as Counselor's in Training this summer was special as well...I literally watched them grow up these last 8 years. Blue Compass Adventure Camp '21 Adventure Camp '21 was full throttle for our campers. We filled each day with so many activities, great food and friends. We hope to be back to full capacity...

Day 5 of Ranch Camp. A last visit to the petting zoo,, pack up and relive the highlights of the week. We had a great group of kids this summer!!!!

Day 4 at Ranch Camp. From hitting targets on the Marksman-X course, doing another Scavanger Hunt, a Rodeo with the Crista Camps crew, arts n crafts and s’mores…it was a great day. We also had our traditional bead ceremony. It’s our chance to pour praise on each camper for their week at camp. We broke our long standing no electronics policy by finishing the night with a viewing of Raya and the Last Dragon. We had some interesting obstacles to overcome this week and this felt like a good thank you for their patience and flexibility. It was a late night to bed but it’s camp after all. Rules are meant to be bent!!!

Day 3 long fun filled day. We painted horses…yes painted them. We tried our best at archery and did some fun group field games. The sun was teasing us all morning that it wouldn’t appear in time for canoes and swimming but it came out and quickly made swimming very comfortable. We ended the night with our first official dance party. Our Crista Camps leaders led us in some super fun dances. Full camp participation in Congo line was so much fun, as was learning the steps to footloose. 😂

Day 2 of Ranch Camp. We took a field trip to Island Lakes to challenge ourselves on the high ropes course. We had 4 campers complete the entire circuit. Had so many face their fear of heights and get up to the platform. I was so proud of all of them. In the afternoon we had more time with the horses, swim time in the lake and field games. Not to mention tons of great food.

Day 1 of ranch Camp is in the books. Nice to see these faces after a year and a half of COVID. The friendships are still there from summer ‘19. Was a super fun day.

Day 4 at Adventure Camp is always a highlight for our campers. It’s Moto-X day!!! Seeing our campers riding throughout the 3 tracks and onto the trails at Island Lakes is a great way to end the week of activities. Some spills where had but they where out matched by the smiles of our campers. So proud of them.

Day 3 at Adventure Camp!!! What an amazing day. Kids really brought their A games. Showed amazing flexibility and rode with the changes in our schedule like champions. We did the high ropes course today. Our goal is to have our campers push a step beyond their comfort zones. They did an amazing job of this today!!! I was so proud of them! We also had a go at Archery today. We had a couple marksman and a few that struggled with the bow…but everyone stayed upbeat and tried their best. That’s all we ask!!!
We also had 2 campers coordinated a camp carpet ball tournament. It was super fun. I was very proud of their ingenuity, dedication and follow through. We had a ton of “upsets” and a great time.

Day 2 we used our concentration and aim to shoot at targets at Marksman-X. We also went on a exploratory hike of island Lakes property. Tried to climb a little higher on the climbing wall and withstand the frigid temps of a cloudy day at the lake. We also played a ton of games, drew some beautiful comics and used clay to make mini sculptures. A great day at Adventure Camp!!!!
