2025 LIGHTHOUSE WINTER YOUTH RETREAT (in progress) – After a late evening arrival on Friday, January 17 at Lakeside Bible Retreat in Clinton, WA on Whidbey Island (for the second straight year), the sun came out on our young people on Saturday morning to enjoy outdoor group building activities and some free time in rowboats on the lake after breakfast, morning worship, Bible lesson, and small group time. Our retreat will conclude with a closing worship service on Sunday morning.

LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTMAS FIELD TRIP – Sometimes, things don’t end the way they were planned, but it didn’t take away from any of the fun and fellowship the youth enjoyed on our last gathering of the year on December 17. We rode the light rail into town for a digital scavenger hunt that didn’t happen because the mall closed earlier than expected. But we laughed and enjoyed dinner at Shake Shack, and then reboarded the light rail home, where the group spontaneously broke into song and serenaded the other passengers with Christmas carols and songs!

2024 FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL - On October 24, the Good News Clubs welcomed a season-high 45 children for a night of food, worship, a Bible Story, games, and lots of candy at our first community party of the school year. One boy received the greatest treat of all - a relationship with God through a profession of faith in Jesus!

THE REAL DEAL - In a week where we have been laying lots of groundwork for the launch of Lighthouse (Youth Ministry) in this new school year, nothing is better than actually hanging out with the young people themselves! Ella Hutchinson and Nedia Ryder are two amazing young people and emerging leaders, who makes us excited and hopeful for WONDERFUL things God has in store for us!

HOW GOOD AND PLEASANT IT IS . . . WHEN PRESBYTERIANS AND BAPTISTS DWELL TOGETHER IN UNITY – Loved the energy and excitement of coming together to share dreams, plans, and prayers for the fall launch of Lighthouse (Youth Ministry) next month! Also love the prospect of another year of partnership and collaboration with Youth Director Hallie Michael! God’s up to something very big!
