Did you know- all pile rugs have a “dark side” and a “light side”? As they are woven, the knots are pulled down to create a nap. The nap of the rug reflects light differently depending on which end you’re viewing it from. First photo is from the “dark side” second photo shows the “light side” 😎 the higher the pile, and the more lustrous the wool- the more this difference will be apparent.

‼️‼️ A new piece just found it’s way to us - this stunning Persian Gabbeh is 8’-6” x 12’-0” and is not yet up on the website. Large Persian Gabbeh are rare because they’re made by nomadic tribes- they tend to make small pieces that are easy to transport. On top of that, we haven’t been able to import goods from Iran for 4 years now- our collection is growing smaller every week and rarely do we get new inventory.
