Lesson #1 when you dance, move or work with me. In the studio, especially upon first meeting someone, I often encounter people who identify with the parts of their bodies they think "don't work" and what they think they "cannot do". The funny thing is... Dancing has very little to do with the body. It has to do with what can be imagined and thus what can be embodied. Dancing does not even require movement- at it's heart - dance is a meditation on Being. And it requires stillness and inner silence. Dancing is everything... So we begin with reframing what is dance... And then we move into reframing ourselves.

So if you work with me you'll often hear me inviting you to drop your mind, your notions, your beliefs... And yes even your experience. That's how healing integration can begin. You'll be invited to imagine yourself as vast unlimited light as a Universal Self... You'll be ssked to carry this idea with yourself throughout the day... How does it change being in your body? How does it change how you feel about yourself? How does it change how you feel about the world? Do you now notice there is no differernce? I invite you to try this practice today. ❤🙏

"Sleep is not a dead space, but a doorway to a different kind of consciousness—one that is reflective and restorative, full of tangential thought and unexpected insights. In winter, we are invited into a particular mode of sleep: not a regimented eight hours, but a slow, ambulatory process in which waking thoughts merge with dreams, and space is made in the blackest hours to repair the fragmented narratives of our days...

Over and again, we find that winter offers us liminal spaces to inhabit. Yet still we refuse them. The work of the cold season is to learn to welcome them."
