Last week, I had the opportunity to travel to Washington DC with to advocate for something that has become deeply personal to me, women’s healthcare.

Over the last several months, I’ve dealt with my own health challenges that have included ER visits, countless OB-GYN appointments, ultrasounds, MRIs, insurance headaches, and the fear that comes with knowing something doesn’t feel right in your body.

One of the hardest parts has been feeling like because I looked okay, I wasn’t always being taken as seriously as I knew I needed to be.

Being in DC reminded me that reproductive freedom is about so much more than one issue. It’s about having access to healthcare, being heard, and having the ability to make informed decisions about our own bodies.

I had the chance to meet with Senator Jon Ossoff’s team and stand alongside so many incredible advocates who are working to make sure women’s voices are heard.
