The writer at work. ❤️💜❤️

I was putting in time at my favorite tea shop today and my bud got this photo of me that I love very much. The best part is that one of my kids had joined my work session, and that's who I'm smiling at. 😍

I sat in this spot for 9 hours today (!!) revising my third book. I've drafted it very quickly, and reading back through it today was full of delightful surprises. I found scenes I must have written in some sort of fugue state which seem brand new to me, jokes that totally cracked me up, and veins of meaning and softness that made me proud.

All day I was held and boosted by my writing community through DMs, Threads threads (?!), discord chats, texts, writing sprints, and old fashioned in-person encouragement. The amazing even sent me a gift card for a tea to help get me to my deadline.

You all are the best. 😭

Also on display is an shirt, Tucson rapid response number to report ICE activity, and my favorite bird necklace ever made by the amazing . I wear this necklace whenever I need extra power, and it worked today!!

Thanks to everyone who is carrying me through these frantic weeks before my deadline AND book release. You are the very best.
