Citizenship by descent, also known as citizenship by ancestry, can grant you access to an ancestral passport. Here are 6 countries where you can qualify for dual citizenship based on ancestry. 🇮🇹 Italy: Can you trace your ancestry back to Italy AND prove it? You may qualify if you were born to Italian parents, grandparents, or great grandparents. 🇩🇪 Germany: If you were born to at least one German parent. You also may qualify if your ancestors had to forfeit their German nationality.
