BIG NEWS—we have a Times Square billboard!

To celebrate 40 years of rescue, education, advocacy, and love for farm animals, Farm Sanctuary is taking over Times Square with a bold message about what kindness to animals really means.

Our new digital billboard—located at Broadway and West 43rd Street, across from the NASDAQ screen—features three rescued animals from our New York and California sanctuaries.

The message in one of the busiest intersections in the world is simple and powerful: If we’re truly kind to animals, we don’t eat them.

For four decades, Farm Sanctuary has worked to help people see farm animals as someone, not something. When we started our work in 1986, the idea that a cow or chicken could have a name, a personality, and a desire to live was rarely part of the public conversation. Today, millions of people are questioning the status quo—and spaces like Times Square give us an opportunity to reach even more hearts.

This billboard is more than an ad. It’s an invitation to imagine a kinder food system, and to include farm animals in our circle of compassion.
