The 2020 edition of the Drone Photo Awards, the main international competition of aerial photography, contains a beautiful collection of prizewinning photos and fresh perspectives taken with drones. Mexican photographer Joseph Cheires took first prize in the Nature category with the image 'Gray Whale Plays Pushing Tourists' shot in Puerto Adolfo Lopez Mateos, Baja California (Mexico), and featuring a gray whale pushing a boat with tourist on board. “At the end of the gray whale season, I was told about a gray whale that, for the last three years used to play with the boats, pushing them gently,” explains the photographer. “So we went back the year after and, incredibly, the gray whale appeared and this shot is the result.” 🔗 in bio for the stunning winners of this year's Drone Awards.
