NRC Tucson March Drill Weekend Recap
We began the DWE at All Hands by recognizing two outstanding Sailors for their exceptional service. LS1 Osorioaguirre received a SPOT Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (NAM) for outstanding performance as the Command CFL and Safety Program Manager. HM2 Miller was awarded an End of Tour (EOT) NAM for four years of dedicated service to NRC Tucson. Fair winds and following seas at your next duty station, HM2!
Saturday’s highlight was the Change of Command Ceremony. We bid farewell to CDR Cedros after an outstanding tour as Commanding Officer and welcomed LCDR Palmer aboard as the new CO of NRC Tucson. Thank you, CDR Cedros, for your leadership and service, and welcome aboard, LCDR Palmer!
Sunday’s focus was Command Indoctrination (INDOC), helping onboard our newest reservists and ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to succeed in the Navy Reserve.
Dental readiness was also a priority this weekend, as many of our SELRES completed required X ray examinations to improve overall medical readiness.
Bravo Zulu to our staff and reservists for another productive and successful drill weekend!

On February 6th, 2026, NRC Tucson proudly recognized two outstanding Sailors for their continued commitment to serving our nation.
HM1 Christensen re-enlisted for four additional years of service and is currently attached to NTAG Phoenix, where he continues to serve on active duty orders. HM1 Christensen has completed back-to-back tours in recruiting, playing a critical role in strengthening the Navy by bringing in the next generation of Sailors. His dedication and sustained excellence exemplify what it means to serve the force.
We also welcomed GM2 Antonio into the Navy Reserves, as he enlisted for two years of service following honorable active duty service aboard USS Gettysburg (CG-64). GM2 Antonio previously deployed in support of operations within the Fifth Fleet Area of Operations and now continues his Navy journey in the Reserve Component.
Thank you to both of these phenomenal Sailors for their professionalism, sacrifice, and continued service to our country. Welcome to the Reserves GM2, and Bravo Zulu to HM1!
