Solar panels are built to last about 25 years, which is exactly why the roof under them needs to come first.

Mount them on a roof that's near the end of its life, and you'll pay to remove and reinstall them when that roof finally gives out. We install roofing that's ready for solar and seal carefully around every spot where a mount penetrates the surface, since those are the places leaks start.

We don't install the panels themselves, just the roof underneath them.
Add solar down the road, and let us know so we can check the seals around the new mounts.
