Here is the CRI schedule of presentations at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2016 Food & Nutrition Conference and Expo! Topics include how CRI programs help people incorporate healthy cooking into their daily lives; how grocery store tours help measurably improve participants’ eating habits; how hands-on cooking activities help families make changes to their well-being; and how the CRI Healthy World Scholarship supports the long-term efforts of interdisciplinary teams to improve children’s nutrition in their communities! CRI Senior Advisor for Nutrition Science Kelly Shannon and CRI Senior Director for Health Literacy and Research Andrew Pleasant are headed to Boston this weekend for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2016 Food & Nutrition Conference and Expo! Kelly and Andrew will join colleagues from our partners Berkshire Health Systems and The Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health to present four poster sessions and one panel discussion about the role of nutrition to improve health in low-income communities. Local food activists collaborate and revitalize at Canyon Ranch Institute 08/16/2016

Here’s a lovely feature from Connect Savannah about our CRI Healthy World Scholarship team from Savannah, GA, whose members are back at work refreshed and revitalized by their experience at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, AZ. Sharing knowledge and challenges with other teams from Chinle, AZ; Greenville, SC; and Wilkes County, NC, helped shape their strategy to improve the health and well-being of children through good nutrition.
